To prepare for the opening of our new group home, which is currently being renovated to house up to eight clients, we are seeking donations for items all homes need! Last year, Stepping Stones of Rockford received a grant from the Winnebago County Community Mental Health Board (WCCMHB) to purchase a building that is currently being rrenovated to serve as a new group home! This residence will house up to eight clients with serious mental illnesses and provide them with 24/7 care. It is expected that this site will be open and operational by mid-summer! However, in order to make this house a home for our clients, we are in need of a few essentials. We have prepared an Amazon Wishlist of items needed to welcome our new clients and ensure they have what they need in their new group home! Donations are always much appreciated and we are excited to receive community support in expanding our services to help more individuals in need of mental health services and improving their lives, one step at a time.
In addition to the Amazon Wishlist for the new group home, we had additional items of interest for our established residential sites and our counseling center!
Items of interest for our Residential Sites:
- Baseball Mitts, Bats, 12 and 14-inch Softballs
- Outdoor Basketballs
- Ping Pong tables
- X-box/Nintendo/Gaming systems (new with games)
- Flat screen TVs; sound bar for TVs (for congregate living areas)
- Kitchen items such as pots and pans, mixing bowls, storage containers, utensils
- Art/Craft kits

- Sand trays and supplies
